If we went back in time 14 years you would be hearing shouts of “Happy Schwag!” ring out across the beautiful property that is Bagnell Dam. It was Schwagstock 19, the year was 2003, the sky was yellow and the sun was blue. Bands such as; Devon Allman, Zen Tricksters,
Shaman’s Harvest, Groovetron, Rolland Allen Band, and Sadhanna Farm played the festival with The Schwag. Some of the vendors for this event included Smiley’s Schack and Tie Dye Queen – just to name a couple! Songs such as Samson and Deliala, Bertha, Oh Babe It Aint No Lie, Black Throated Wind, All Along The Watch Tower, and Dire Wolf were played with encores every night consisting of Knocking on Heaven’s Door and Reno. What a ‘Happy Schwag’ it was!
Fast forward to 2017 and pull yourself out of this blissful memory, because The Dam Jam is coming to bring you new wonderful memories to be made! The Schwag has teamed up with Sunshine Daydream and The Iguana Group to make this dream festival a reality! Jay, owner of Sunshine Daydream chains, has made roots on the Bagnall Dam strip for many years providing the area with decor, clothing, and accessories that captivate music lovers so, it is an honor to be a part of a festival experience that is supported by a company that is so influential and successful in the community. I know I personally cannot wait to see what unique items will be at the Sunshine Daydream booth! Beyond the amazing vendors that will be present, the music lineup is absolutely phenomenal! The Schwag will be accompanied by Pink Floyd Tribute : Animals, Led Zeppelin tribute : The Hindenburg Project, Nonstop Reggae Band : A Tribute to Bob Marley, Aaron Kamm & The One Drops, Still-Shine Bluegrass Band, Surco, The Baub Eis Band, Brody Buster’s One Man Band, and Molly Adamson. Visual performances consisting of LED and fire routines will be provided by The Dancing Bear Tribe, whom will also be hosting flow workshops on Saturday morning before the music begins! There certainly will not be a shortage of fun to be had!
