JUNE 16 & 17, 2017 | LAKE OZARK, MO  Tickets

When you hear someone talk about Schwagstock, your mind will usually gravitate to memories of Camp Zoe, but did you know that there were many venues that hosted Schwagstock before Zoe ever even saw the dreadlocks on Jimmy’s head?! One of the magical places that served as a home for Schwagstocks was Bagnell Dam located in the heart of the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri and has been in place for 85 years now! After a 14 year hiatus, The Schwag is returning to Bagnell Dam to recreate the atmosphere and memories that so many of us had at Schwagstocks! Although, this festival will be something entirely new with a vague feeling of “I feel like I have been here before”. The Dam Jam embodies all of this plus more!

Schwagstock 19 Camping

“Beams of light shining down on the rushing water that surrounds the campground as sounds of people laughing and shouting in happiness echo upon the dam and then bounce back to ring around all the tents. Dirty feet dance around and make their way to Shakedown Street where you can find handmade and one of a kind goods made by people you will feel as if they are your family before it’s all said and done! On top of that the smell of freshly prepared foods will keep your nose and belly happy throughout the whole weekend. It is a sensory overload of enjoyment, truly a place I never want to leave, but a place I will always return to.”

The Dam Jam will be such a monumental experience for the people returning to Bagnell Dam and for the people that will experience this for their first time! Aside from The Schwag there will be a surplus of notable bands that will be adding to this extra special event! There will be a lot to offer beyond the music as well at this family friendly concert camp-out experience. The facility offers a stage, shaded camping, shower house, and a great view of Bagnell Dam with the Osage River rolling by. Live visual arts performances will be taking place along with flow-art related workshops being offered. There will also be a vendor village set up in the campground featuring food and cool merchandise. At the top of the Dam there is “the strip” which hosts wide variety shops and outlets including boat & jet ski rental, hotels, restaurants, shops, arcades, tattoo parlors, bars, and other amusements.

Please join us June 15 & 16 (and Thursday the 14th) for The Dam Jam!

WORKSHOPS OFFERED:

Hoop Yoga – Hosted by Lana Mae
Combining the joy of hula hoop dance and the empowerment of yoga will put you on track for a blissful experience that will add to your flow! In this workshop, we will focus, cleanse, inspire, and empower the mind; strengthen, limber, and find gentle grace in the body; and ascend the spirit. We will utilize the sacred circle as a prop for alignment, flexibility, strengthening, flow finding, and connecting to our highest power. The plastic circle creates a safe space to release, find peace, and cleanse energetic blockages. Moving in a circle connects us with the natural rotation of the earth that supports life. Hula hoops are playful props that yield joy and connect us with the pure child spirit that resides within us all.
Geared toward beginners, but beneficial for all skill levels. Hoops provided. – No experience in yoga or hula hooping necessary.

Hula Hooping for Unity Consciousness – Hosted by Sarah Bear
This workshop is based upon the concept that we are all one united through love. Visualization, breath work, light body movement, unity building exercises, and hula hoop moves will guide you into a state of mind that knows no separation from the stream of love that flows through every life force in the universe and connects us as one. This is for all ages and all people open to love and Unity.

Freedom in Flowtion – Hosted by Rinspins
This workshop is designed for participants to let loose and allow their creative dancing nature to shine through in their hoop flow. Flow fundamentals that will be explored will include fancy footwork, fierce and flowy hands, and total body engagement while dancing with the hoop. The fundamentals will be explored through choreography, drills, and free movement. Warm ups and mindfulness techniques will be used at the beginning of class to get students out of their heads and freely moving in their bodies. Lets come together, let go, and let flow.
